The FLU

The flu struck our house hard this year. After our monster truck experience we came home and JJ was sick over the weekend, then it was my turn. I was horrible. I got it worse than anyone. Jeremy had to get JJ to school (scary!!!). Tyler missed school both days and poor Dylan was sick for a few days too. Poor guy was all stuffed up. Couldn't drink and couldn't suck on his binkie. But we all recovered and are ready for the weekend.

Super Mom to the rescue

So, I have been given the nickname supermom by my husband. JJ and Tyler have always been really socially active. Parks and recreation classes, school plays, sports - soccer basketball t-ball and swimming lessons and storytime at the library. We did just about everything that came our way.
Well, a few months before Dylan's birth - I backed off, so I didn't wear myself out. Well, Jeremy has begun teasing me that I haven't picked back up so......
I went straight to the parks department and signed Jeremy up for indoor soccer.
Well, I feel better.

Monster truck show

HI ALL -
Well, it was Monster truck day at the Watts house yesterday. We got up at 9am and got ready to go. We dropped Dylan off with Grandma and Grandpa Lanka and we were off. A quick stop at Taco Bell to grab some grub, so as not to pay the 4 dollar hot dog price at the Tacoma Dome. We arrived to find parking was $10 dollars. Ouch!!! But we went on. We got in line to go inside to the pit party. We got to walk around and look at all the truck and the cars to be smashed up close and personal. I think we could have walked under them!! We saw a streched expedition. Very cool. The drivers were giving autographs. $5 dollar programs - so cheap. Made up for the parking. We got to see the little kids in their go carts and the demolition derby cars. Jeremy Jr and Tyler actually got to write their name on one of the cars. He ended up losing, but he gave a good fight. He pushed several cars at one time and caught on fire. Then, we hit the gift store - Gravedigger, Blue Thunder, and El Toro Loco hats for us. Then some flags and some spinning toys. A credit card later and we went to our seats. Very cool. Right up on the rail and no one in front of us. A national anthem and we were off. Jeremy Jr. and Tyler were rooting for El Toro Loco, but he was out early. Jen was with Blue Thunder the Ford Built truck, but he lost in the semi-finals to the winner and Jeremy's Gravedigger lost in the finals to 199. Very fun. There was a Brono in the pro-truck series, so that was pretty fun to cheer him on. All in all, it was cold, but very fun to get into it and root for someone. Tons of little boys there. We fit right in. Tyler had the time of his life. No earplugs necessary. Jeremy Jr wasn't feeling well and slept through some of it, but when he was awake - he was into it.
No plans tomorrow, just recovery from today.

MLK weekend

We have have a busy weekend planned. Well, the first half anyways.
Today, JJ had a half day at school, so we went to the Seattle Aquarium. We hadn't been there in a while, so it was fun. They have made a few changes. They have this arch you walk through just full of jellyfish. Tyler and Dylan thought this was so neat. Then, they have an octopus tank with two octopus's. We got to watch the lady feed one of them. It was really neat. He just took the fish off her hook and ate it. He was swimming around and we got a good look. The other was huddled in the corner. We saw the seals and the otters. It was fun.
Then, we walked to the Old Spaghetti Factory and had dinner. It was so good. And cheap.
Tomorrow we head to the MONSTER TRUCK show!!!

New Years

Hi all -
Happy New Year!!!!
Jeremy and I had an awesome night in the city. We went to downtown Seattle - stayed at the Madison. We went to Benihana's and had dinner. Such good food. Then we went on an argosy cruise. We went around the sound and drank and danced and then we headed back in to watch the fireworks off the space needle. It was awesome.
Today we just walked around downtown and did the Underground tour. Very interesting history of Seattle. Recommend doing it sometime. Not kid friendly though. At least not for little kids.
Then, we took our time heading home. It was nice to be without the kids for 24 hours.
Our news years resolution was to get our business in line this year and to see our friends and family more often. So, you guys have to make plans to see us!!!
Will write soon.
